Terms of Service
Rules for using Tonera audio, MIDI, and notation tools.
Last updated: 2026-09-21
Using Tonera
Tonera provides browser-based audio, MIDI, and notation conversion tools, plus an optional server-side stem-separation feature. You must use the service lawfully and only process files that you own or have permission to use.
Accounts and Credits
Browser-only tools may be used without an account. Features that consume server resources may require an account and credits. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for activity performed through your account.
Credits are service units, not currency, and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. Paid credit packs are one-time purchases, do not renew automatically, and expire 12 months after purchase. Promotional or signup credits may have a shorter validity period shown when they are granted. The price, credit quantity and any applicable refund terms are displayed before purchase.
Acceptable Use
You may not use Tonera to infringe copyright or other rights, upload unlawful or malicious content, bypass limits or credits, probe the service for unauthorized access, disrupt other users, or automate abusive volumes of requests.
We may block uploads, rate-limit requests, suspend accounts, or remove stored files when needed to protect the service or comply with law.
Conversion Results
Music transcription and stem separation are probabilistic. Results may contain missing, extra, or incorrect notes and should be reviewed before performance, publication, or professional use. Tonera does not guarantee that a conversion will be accurate or suitable for a particular purpose.
Your Files and Output
You retain your rights in files you submit and outputs generated from them. You grant Tonera and its processing providers only the limited permission necessary to provide the feature you requested. Browser-only conversions do not upload the source file.
Availability and Liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may change or become temporarily unavailable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tonera is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, lost revenue, or decisions made from conversion results.
Changes and Termination
We may update these terms as the service changes. We may suspend access for abuse, security risks, or violations of these terms. The date above identifies the latest revision.
